El informe “El medio ambiente en Europa 2025”, elaborado por la Agencia Europea de Medio Ambiente (AEMA), señala que a pesar de los considerables avances en la reducción de las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y los niveles de contaminación atmosférica, el estado general del medio ambiente en Europa no es bueno. Asimismo, advierte que los efectos del cambio climático en el continente son cada vez más preocupantes y amenazan tanto la prosperidad económica como la seguridad y la calidad de vida de los europeos.

Making Peace with Nature: A scientific blueprint to tackle the climate, biodiversity and pollution emergencies. Nairobi.
This report presents a scientific blueprint for how climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution can be tackled jo-intly within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals. The report is a synthesis based on evidence from global environmental assessments. It has been a privilege to oversee the production and peer review of the report by the eminent group of experts and advisors appointed by Inger Andersen, the Executive Director of UNEP, for their leading contributions to and intimate understanding of the interface between science and policy in addressing the environmental challenges of today.

The 2025 Annual Report explores UNEP’s results and impacts across climate action, nature and land action, pollution action and more. In a time when multilateralism is more important than ever, it looks at how UNEP uniquely brings the world together to tackle global challenges, while underpinning decision-making processes with science, data and policy support. In this report, UNEP also calls for support to its financial backbone so it can continue delivering on its mission and supporting countries as they strive to meet their goals.
El Informe Anual de 2025 examina los resultados y el impacto del PNUMA en ámbitos como la acción climática, la acción en favor de la naturaleza y la tierra, la lucha contra la contaminación, entre otros. En un momento en que el multilateralismo cobra más importancia que nunca, el informe destaca cómo el PNUMA desempeña un papel singular al unir al mundo para afrontar desafíos globales, al tiempo que fundamenta los procesos de toma de decisiones en la ciencia, los datos y el apoyo a las políticas. Asimismo, el PNUMA hace un llamamiento para fortalecer su base financiera, a fin de poder seguir cumpliendo su misión y apoyando a los países en sus esfuerzos por alcanzar sus objetivos.
