Report – Enerdata Helps Define France’s New «Value of Climate Action”

The French government recently updated its assessment of the value of not emitting GHGs – significantly increasing the figure from when it was first published a decade ago.

Enerdata contributed to the modelling upon which the report is based, using our POLES model to elaborate several carbon-neutrality scenarios.

Contract – Indian Ocean Observatory

The Indian Ocean Commission has mandated Enerdata to help create an energy information system for the five island nations of Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, Reunion and Comoros.

This is an important first step in the development of a Regional Energy Observatory in the Indian Ocean.

This new version contains a full data update and some useful interface changes, plus updates to the scenarios in our robust forecasting models.

We are developing a new collaboration bring accessible, scientific writing about energy and environmental sciences to our readers and clients, while supporting the ongoing work of the academic community in Grenoble, France, where we have our headquarters.  

Here’s a preview of the type of work we’ll be publishing through this collaboration: This article, from the Encyclopedia of the Environment, explains the principles behind environmental taxation – such as carbon taxes – and how they can be implemented.

Partner Publication – The World Bank’s Sustainable Infrastructure Series

In this in-depth report, called Beyond the Gap, the World Bank looks into the funding required to achieve the infrastructure-related Sustainable Development Goals.

One notable conclusion of the report: With the right policy choices, decarbonization can be achieved by the end of the century for the about same cost as that of installing and maintaining more polluting infrastructure.
