Turkey launches spot natural gas trade system on stock exchange Istanbul’s energy stock exchange (EPİAŞ) has introduced a spot natural gas trade system after the completion of a five-month testing phase..Turkey intends to become a natural gas trading hub and expects this new system to bring more competition and supply diversification to the domestic natural gas market.. The new system will determine natural gas prices for the day-ahead market, which will be matching offers from suppliers with corresponding bids from market players and result in a supply and demand equilibrium price. Interested companies will be able to trade at least 1 mcm/d. EPİAŞ also started to publish natural gas transmission data through its online in July 2018 and started to share virtual trade, capacity, reserve, actualization and stock amounts on a daily basis.. |

Enagas and Fluxys sell stakes in Swedish gas grid operator Swedegas Belgian gas transmission grid operator Fluxys and its Spanish counterpart Enagás have agreed to jointly sell their total stake in Swedish gas grid operator Swedegas to FS Gas Transport, a subsidiary of First State Investments managed European Diversified Infrastructure Fund II. The transaction is expected to amount SKK2.04bn (€192m) and both companies have agreed to this proposal.

Infrastructure & Investments Ørsted and Innogy sign a 15-year PPA for Triton Knoll wind park (UK) Danish energy company Ørsted has signed a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with RWE’s subsidiary Innogy from the 860 MW Triton Knoll offshore wind park project (United Kingdom), which is expected to come onstream in 2021. Ørsted will offtake 100% of the electricity generated by the power plant once it is commissioned.
Brazil awards licenses for 2.1 GW of power generation capacity by 2024 The Brazilian power trading chamber CCEE (Câmara de Comercialização de Energia Elétrica) has awarded 2,100 MW of power generation capacity for a total of 62 projects under the framework of the latest renewables auction (Leilão de Energia Nova A-6).
