2022 came-up with new challenges and expectations to address in the energy landscape. At Enerdata, the 2022-23 fiscal year was closed with the general shareholders’ meeting on July 6th. A good opportunity to take a step back and share with you key moments of this year.

To develop a long-term Low Emission Development Strategy, the Moroccan government requires contrasted scenarios and associated sectoral decarbonisation plans. Enerdata’s team engages their energy expertise to conduct a comprehensive analysis of all sectors within the economy, to develop a high-quality Net Zero scenario.

The European Commission’s Directorate General for Energy needs a quantified view of the deployment of renewable installations and the associated self-consumption rates. Enerdata will conduct this study, resulting in a public report, which will be used by the EC to inform its decisions and develop policies promoting self-consumption.

Poverty reduction and climate change are intricately linked. Reducing the impact of climate change on poor and vulnerable households is essential to hastening poverty reduction. In thinking about policies that do this, it is useful to apply the same hazard, exposure, and vulnerability framework.

This report, from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, calls for urgent support to developing countries to enable them to attract significantly more investment for their transition to clean energy. Indeed, although investments in renewables have nearly tripled since 2015, most of the money has gone to developed countries.
