The University of Vermont’s Institute for Agroecology (IfA) is offering a funded PhD opportunity focused on transformative agroecology. The selected candidate will engage in cutting-edge research and join the L4E community, contributing to ongoing projects across Vermont, North America, Latin America, West Africa, Europe, and Southern and East Africa. This role involves coursework, retreats, and lab meetings while working towards a Certificate of Graduate Study in Agroecology, building a strong foundation in participatory-transdisciplinary research. Funded by Leadership for the ECOZOIC, the 11th Hour Project, and the University of Vermont, this position offers a unique chance to work on themes such as regional agroecological transitions, knowledge co-production, and agroecology’s role in food systems, energy, and leadership.
