Contract – Emission scenarios for the United Kingdom
Enerdata has been selected by the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to provide them with Business As Usual (BAU) emissions scenarios and Marginal Abatement Cost Curves (MACCs) to update the Global Carbon Finance (GLOCAF) model. For this update, the focus will be set on exploring deep decarbonisation pathways of countries, in line with recent announcements of net zero emission objectives and  in view of the upcoming update of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). Enerdata collaborates with BEIS since 2007 to update two internal models of the ministry.

Biofuels can enable us to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels in the transportation sector. Current technologies are not fully mature yet, as most biofuels are made from crops and their large-scale development would compete with food production.
