ANNOUNCEMENT FOR TWO RESEARCH POSITIONS IN EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY

The Institute of Ecology, A.C. (INECOL) is a public research center affiliated to the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT). INECOL is an institution funded by the Mexican government, which performs research and student training in the field of ecology, systematics, conservation and resource management (www.inecol.mx). INECOL has research facilities in the states of Veracruz (Xalapa) and Michoacán (Pátzcuaro), and field stations in coastal Veracruz and in a pine forest and a desert area in Durango. There are currently 116 fulltime scientists, 115 technicians, 100 administrators and 121 graduate students. Academic life is organized around 10 academic departments: Biodiversity and Systematics, Functional Ecology, Environment and Sustainability, Evolutionary Biology, Biorational Management of Pests and Vectors, Biotechnological Resource Management, Ecoethology, Biology and Conservation of Vertebrates, Multitrophic Interactions and Advanced Molecular Studies.

Inecol has a M.Sc. program and a Sc.D. program, both recognized by the National Program of Graduate Program Quality (PNPC-CONACYT), which grants fulltime fellowships to graduate students upon admittance to the programs.

INECOL invites applications for TWO RESEARCH POSITIONS IN EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until SEPTEMBER 15, 2015. Selected applicants should be ready to start by November 15, 2015.
