Speech by ISEE President-Elect, Erik Gomez-baggethun

The President of the General Assembly announced the convening of an Interactive Dialogue in observance of International Mother Earth Day on April 24, 2023. This dialogue, as mandated by General Assembly Resolution 77/169 of December 14, 2022, provided a platform for discussions and reflections on the importance of environmental preservation and sustainability.

During this event, Erik Gomez-baggethun, the President-elect of ISEE (International Society for Ecological Economics), delivered a compelling speech addressing the significance of the Day of the Earth. Colleagues from the University of Vermont and other ecological economists also participated, offering excellent insights and interventions.

ISEE Membership Dues

Your ISEE membership dues automatically include your subscription to your local regional society.  The dues have remained stable for well over twenty years, despite inflation.

In view of ever rising operating costs, we have finally been forced to make an increase; at the lowest income end, the fees increase from $15 to a new rate of $18, and proportionally through the income levels.

If any would-be member is unable to subscribe due to financial stress or foreign exchange prohibitions, do contact the Secretariat and we will find a way to keep your membership active!
